The dump
is not a dump
for you
You’ve never
been there,
never passed through
Yet you throw
away
what you should save
And you save
the dying day
And in place
of the scavenger
or refuse maker
You hold on hard,
life taker
When if you
should
simply let go
A dump
would take away
the old
And in its place
would appear
the new
Till some other dump
took that
too.
